JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard) screwdrivers are a must-have tool for Japanese motorcycles and components. JIS screw heads look like Phillips screw heads, but they are not the same. A Phillips screwdriver can mangle a JIS screw head, especially if the screw is even a little bit stuck. A JIS screw is marked with a small dimple on the screw head as shown in the pictures. JIS screws are found on Mikuni carburetors and on many Japanese motorcycles and parts.
